Gungahlin Lakes Golf Club
This golf club, located in the ACT, contains bars, a bistro, restaurant, function centre, gaming lounge, administration offices and a golf pro shop. It has been designed to maximise natural light to the interior spaces and reduce energy use while capitalising on the fantastic views across the golf course.
The masonry forms, located on the south of the building, guard against the colder weather while the north side is predominately glazed with large roof overhangs protecting the interior space from the northern sun. A striking entry canopy marks the arrival point and provides a counterpoint to the masonry forms.
